Crisis recalls a conversation- reacting to the events in Japan
On March 19th, Gordie Albie of Oregon WAND published a letter to the editor of the Eugene Register Guard recalling a conversation from over 50 years ago.
"As the events at Japan’s nuclear plants dominate the news each day, I recall a 1956 argument I had with Sen. Henry Jackson, D-Wash., about the dangers of nuclear power.
One of the points I made was the fallibility of the people who would be in charge as well as the unknown factors of nuclear energy."
