We ask everyone to commit some time each day to this plan that was formed out of discussions and information from the WiLL/WAND national conference in September. Please keep a journal of your actions and, if possible, mail us a copy periodically. We want to be aware of your actions, to support you, and to connect WAND, WiLL, and STAND members and partners with one another. Together we are a powerful force for change, and each individual action is important.

What can we do and say at this time of crisis to move forward with our shared mission to build real security?

This was a central question at the WiLL/WAND national conference. WAND's message, "The Five R's," offers an ethical basis for action in response to this question. WAND drafted "The Five R's" going into the conference. Input from delegates influenced the substance of this message, reflected in the final copy.

The plan has six areas of action:

Engage the Media
Communicate with Elected Officials
Develop Inner Strength
Engage in Direct Action
Build Partnerships and Coalitions
