Maureen
Campbell, WAND Washington Associate- Maureen
assists with WiLL and WAND projects, including
field outreach and conference planning. Previously,
she worked at the Center for Policy Alternatives,
which educated progressive state legislators
on numerous domestic policy issues. She graduated
from the University of California, San Diego
with a B.A. in International Studies. |

Sen.
Nan Grogan Orrock, WiLL President (Click
here for full biography) - Sen. Nan
Grogan Orrock is responsible for the overall
coordination of WiLL: recruitment, communication
with members, material development and production,
issue identification, and coordination with
WAND. A veteran of the civil rights and women’s
movements, Nan served ten terms in the Georgia
House of Representatives and is serving her
first term in the Georgia Senate. |

Kathy
Crandall Robinson, Public Policy Director, Interim Field Director
- Kathy has extensive experience working with
grassroots advocates and influencing policy makers
on nuclear disarmament and related peace and security
issues. She led the Disarmament Clearinghouse
and Nuclear Disarmament Partnership and has worked
for organizations including Women Strike for Peace,
Physicians for Social Responsibility, Alliance
for Nuclear Accountability, British American Security
Information Council and Union of Concerned Scientists. |

Franck
Salomon, Controller - Franck has over fifteen
years of strong accounting management and technical
support experience. Prior to WAND, he served
as assistant director for the Haitian Coalition
of Somerville, MA and as an information technology
supervisor at Olympus Specialty Hospital. |

Julie
Southwell, Communications & Development
Associate- Julie is the newest addition to WAND.
Prior to joining WAND, Julie worked with The
Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Team In Training
program. Julie graduated from the University
of London's School of Oriental and African Studies
with an MA in Near and Middle Eastern Studies.
During her undergraduate study Julie went to
the State University of New York's University
at Albany where she earned a BA in History with
a political science minor. |

Susan
Shaer, Executive Director (Click
here for full biography) - Susan is
responsible for the administration and financing
of WAND and its programs. She joined the staff
in 1993, bringing over two decades of experience
in the nonprofit world, with an emphasis on
women in politics. Susan has led the Win Without
War coalition, Project Abolition, the National
Coalition for Peace and Justice, and been a
central figure for V-Day, the Disarmament Clearinghouse
and the Nuclear Disarmament Partnership.

Sara
Whitford, Office Manager - A graduate of Brown
University, Sara handles various responsibilities
in the Arlington office. She has two teenaged
daughters, two energetic dogs, and a fiddle-playing
husband. Sara is co-chair of the Parish Committee
at First Parish Unitarian Universalist Church
of Arlington. |

Chisa
Yarde, Director's Associate - provides direct
support for both National Field Director Kathy
Robinson and WiLL President Georgia State Senator
Nan Grogan Orrock, including scheduling and program
planning. She is also responsible for the administrative
functioning of the National Field Office in Atlanta,
and management of chapter and program practices
including intern recruitment and management, as
well as National membership support and development.
Chisa has previously worked as an Assistant Language
Teacher in Shizuoka, Japan for the JET Programme.
She holds a B.A. in English Literature and Creative
Writing from Agnes Scott College. |

Sharon
Zimmerman, Deputy Director – Sharon
ensures the efficient and effective operation
of WAND’s programs, services and business
operations. Sharon has extensive experience as
a senior executive in business development, workforce
development and community based service organizations.
Prior to joining WAND, Sharon served as vice president
of programs and services for Morgan Memorial Goodwill
Industries, providing job training programs for
individuals with disabilities and other barriers
to employment. She has a master’s degree
in social work from Boston University. |
