Free screening of Countdown to Zero!

Join Georgia WAND for a FREE screening of the film Countdown to Zero on August 5th at 7pm at Landmark Midtown Arts Cinema.  This event coincides with our yearly commemoration of the bombing of Hiroshima. After the viewing, we'll have a panel discussion of the movie.
This movie highlights the global nuclear threat and spells out, in chilling terms, the danger facing everyone if nuclear weapons end up in the hands of terrorists or explode by accident. The film conveys a powerful yet simple message that nuclear weapons are no longer acceptable and should become a part of our past. Stand for Peace
When: Friday July 30th at 12pm
Where: Corner of Peachtree St. and 14th St.
Join our weekly vigil from 12-1pm and meet in the Colony Square food court for lunch /discussion afterward.

Oregon WAND Monthly Program
When: Thursday, September 23rd, 6:30-8:00pm
Where: First United Methodist Church, Parlor Room, 1376 Olive Street, Eugene

Due to popular demand, Oregon WAND is bringing back our monthly program meetings! Meetings will be held on the fourth Thursday evening of each month Light refreshments will be served. All Oregon WAND events are free and open to the public.
