Organizing in Swing States

A swing state is one in which the outcome is difficult to predict. So, the election can “swing” either way (Republican or Democrat). We are working in every state to spread the peace and security message. Swing states get more attention because they can often determine the outcome of the election; and a greater turnout means more people are engaged in the issues.

If you live in a "safe" state, you may be frustrated that your actions have less impact. Don't despair! You can still take actions that will make a difference:

  • Visit swing states and help in voter registration and mobilization efforts.
  • Obtain phone lists and call those in your state or other states to encourage registration and voting, and to provide information.
  • Click here for election-related actions and information in every state.
