Singer and activist Kate Taylor along with special guests
Meredith Sheldon and John Sheldon join WAND in rededicating ourselves to peace. This year we are having a different
kind of celebration, one suited to the urgency
of our times: a chance for family and friends
to raise our voices together in reaffirmation
of our values. The evening will be a lively public
event in keeping with our rich history and bright
future of empowering women to stand up, speak
out, and act politically on the peace and security
issues that affect our lives; nuclear weapons,
militarism, the federal budget, social and environmental
needs. |

Guest speaker is Diane Wilson, cofounder of CODEPINK
and the author of An Unreasonable Woman,

hardscrabble, fourth-generation fisherwoman into
a down-home version of Julia Butterfly Hill.
"I got this message from my lawyer that they
were expecting me to drop everything and get back
down to Texas to start serving my sentence,"
Wilson said. "My response to that is I'll
do my time when Warren Anderson does his."
