Environmental Awareness
Film Festival | Tuesday
| April 22
Atlanta,
GA
This month’s free screening is “Fenceline
– A Company Town Divided”. This is a compelling
film featuring a careful portrayal of race,
class and pollution in Louisiana.
The documentary goes beyond the controversy
itself and takes us into the homes of both
black and white residents as they view TV
news reports out of New
Orleans on the roiling controversy in their
hometown. By turning its cameras on the local
TV news media coverage, Fenceline shows how
the news affects those closest to the issue.
Even though it is a free event, it would be
helpful to RSVP by email by Friday, April
18. Georgia Hill Neighborhood Center (Room
316), 250 Georgia Ave. Atlanta, 30312.

Join us for a dialogue with policy and decision
makers on how to begin to make change. Although
women have made tremendous gains politically,
socially and in the workforce, they continue

In Indiana, women are 61% of the workforce

earned by men in comparable positions. That means
each woman loses between $700,000 and $2 million
