Category
A
Most active. WAND takes a lead, lending
resources, actively lobbying, leading coalitions,
assembling, preparing, and editing materials for distribution.
• Support alternatives to war as a means of
resolving differences
• Reduce excessive military spending in order
to achieve more balanced spending priorities
• Get US troops out of Iraq and limit US military
combat funding; support efforts to limit permanent
bases in Iraq
• Prevent new nuclear weapons, including the
Reliable Replacement Warhead and the Department of
Energy’s proposed Complex Transformation
Category B
Active involvement. WAND assumes
an "instrumental" rather than a "leadership"
role.
• Engage in dialog with Iran rather than taking
military action
• Stop US-India nuclear trade agreement
• Advance programs to prevent nuclear terrorism
• Reduce funding for missile defense
• Prevent space weapons
Category C
Supportive
to marginal involvement. WAND would be available
to sign on to letters, lend our support occasionally,
and/or join with organizational partners.

Prevent reprocessing of nuclear waste
• Support efforts to store nuclear waste in
the least dangerous manner

WAND. The individual items are in no particular nor
prescriptive order.
