Martha
(Marty) Bond is Senior Advisor, Major
Gifts for the Centre for Development
and Population Activities (CEDPA). CEDPA
was founded in 1975 and provides management
and leadership training in international
settings and long-term support for local
roganizations that promote women's empowerment.
As Senior Advisor with CEDPA's fundraising
team, Bond creates fundraising strategies
and builds positive relationships with
high-level donors to support CEDPA's
global programs.
Prior
to joining CEDPA, she served as Director,
Office of Development for Africare.
Her experience includes working with
the U.S. Federal Department of Health
and Human Services, Deputy Director
for the Office of Mecial and Clinical
Affairs, Substance Abuse and Mental
Health Services Administration, and
as a consultant for the Federal Government,
Government of the District to Columbia,
and Howard University Hospital and Howard
University Drug Abuse Research Center.
She as also an Adjunct Professor at
the Graduate School of Professional
Studies, Trinity College, Washington,
DC
She
is a certified fundraising manager and
member of the Association of Fundraising
Professionals. She has resided in Cote
D'Ivoire and traveled extensively in
Africa and Europe. She resides in Washington,
DC with her husband (Laurance W. Bond),
daughter Karina and son Martin.
