Maria
Mannarino is an associate attorney who
has tried cases in Federal, Circuit,
and District Courts in the State of
Michigan; and has argued cases before
the Michigan Court of Appeals and the
Michigan Supreme Court.
She
received a BA in journalism, with a
second major in political science, from
Michigan State University. She worked
as a reporter for the Arizona Daily
Star before receiving her JD from Wayne
State University in 1986.
Her
experiences include clerkships with
Wayne State University's Office of the
General Counsel, and the Office of the
United States Attorney, Organized Crime
Task Force. She's also worked as an
Assistant General counsel for Wayne
State University, and served for nearly
eight years as a public defender for
the Legal Aid and Defender Association
of Detroit.
She
is active in many civic and professional
organizations, and sits on the board
and is an officer of several community
organizations.
