Webinar: First Do No Harm

On January 31, 2013, WAND proudly presented...

First Do No Harm

Featuring federal and state budget and policy expert Elizabeth Lower-Basch, this program reviewed the aftermath of the post-election "fiscal cliff" battle, the “New Year’s Deal,” and other emerging 2013 budget concerns in Congress. Participants learned how federal budget and spending choices affect low-income individuals and families, both directly and through their impacts on state programs. Opportunities to advocate for policies that strengthen families and create pathways to education and work at the federal, state and local levels were also discussed.
