Featuring experts from ReThink Media, participants learned what messages have the most meaning and greatest impact when raising concerns about budget priorities, excessive Pentagon spending and nuclear weapons. Congress is muddling through this post-election session trying to come to grips with budget and fiscal decisions, and we need effective messages to get through the din in Washington.

Earlier this year, ReThink Media gathered external polling and focus group data along with internal media audits to learn more about how the public feels about Pentagon spending. This summary includes 1) how the public feels about the Pentagon budget, 2) what messages and frames work when speaking about the Pentagon budget, and 3) readdressed talking points to reflect polling data.  This summary is designed for those who will be making public arguments in favor of cutting the Pentagon budget. Her previous clients include Craig Newmark (founder of craigslist), the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra musicians, and PR News. Ashley has secured placements in The Washington Post, The Hill, National Journal, and other leading TV, print, and online outlets. Most recently her work on behalf of an energy client was awarded the Bronze Anvil Award of Commendation by the Public Relations Society of America.
