"war on terror" -- intelligent and cooperative
rather than rash and militaristic.
In March 2007, Rep. Woolsey introduced a version
to the 110th Congress (H.Res.227). |

WAND
welcomes delay of Modern Pit Facility,
1/29/04 - The National Nuclear Security Administration
announced that it would delay the final environmental
impact statement (EIS) for the Modern Pit Facility
-- a proposed $4 billion plant where new pits
for nuclear weapons would be fabricated -- in
light of Congressional concerns about its scope
and timing. A pit, made of plutonium, triggers
a nuclear explosion in all modern thermonuclear
weapons.
