Andrea Pimentel

Program Coordinator

Andrea is a graduate of Florida State University, where she studied International Affairs. She is originally from Maracaibo, Venezuela, but grew up in Weston, FL. Venezuela’s current political landscape and ongoing humanitarian crisis sparked her interest in international relations. In 2016, Andrea worked on the Hillary for America campaign, which subsequently led her to organize for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) in South Florida. Last spring, she moved to Washington D.C. to intern for Mercy Corps Policy and Advocacy team and most recently completed a legislative internship on Capitol Hill for her Congresswoman, Representative Debbie Wasserman Schultz. Andrea focuses her work on women’s inclusion in foreign policy and national security, specifically in conflict resolution efforts.
