Cut militarized spending, invest in human needs

As we await the Biden administration's 2022 budget, we affirm the need to cut Pentagon and militarized spending and reinvest in our communities. As the U.S. begins a long recovery from the impacts of the COVID-19 era, it is vital to recognize those most affected by economic disparities, including women, single parents, immigrants, people with disabilities, and Black, Indigenous, and People of Color. A just recovery requires increasing corporate tax rates and redirecting militarized spending towards human needs.

We support the Coalition on Human Needs SAVE Principles.
