WAND joins WCAPS in standing together against racism and discrimination

WAND joins Women of Color Advancing Peace, Security, and Conflict Transformation (WCAPS) in standing together against the acts of racism and discrimination that are structurally and culturally built into the foundation of this country and manifested in the repeated targetting of Black people. America can no longer ignore the vast inequites which exist in this country and serve as a powerful catalyst for our mobilization to bring down the systems of violence and oppression destroying the lives and peace of everyday Americans. As organizations that work to promote global peace and security in our national security and foreign policy, we are aware of how racism and discrimination obstruct our goals, weaken our democracy, and opposes our values of equality, justice, and freedom. We pledge to work on our anti-racism efforts at an institutional level in order to ensure accountability for our efforts to address racism, bigorty, hate, and discrimination in all its forms.
