WiLL State Directors
WiLL State Directors serve as the lead in their state legislative chambers and are essential to the success of the WiLL program. It will be your colleagues that benefit from the program and your leadership. State Directors will assist in building our program by:
-
attending quarterly State Director conference calls to keep up to date with WiLL;
-
recruiting colleagues from both chambers for WiLL membership and involve them in our communications trainings and conferences;
-
connecting WiLL members with each other and with statewide elected women;
-
connecting WiLL with WAND partners or chapters for speaking engagements;
-
adapting, signing and disseminating occasional opinion columns and letters- to-the-editor provided by WiLL;
-
identifying local and state media for regional events
-
encouraging colleagues to sign letters and resolutions petitioning Congress on critical budget and policy matters;
-
co-hosting WiLL receptions and briefings for your colleagues at your Capitol and at national conferences; and
-
identifying potential sponsors and donors for WiLL events and programs.
