When women lead,
communities are stronger.
The Women Legislators' Lobby (WiLL) is a national nonpartisan network of women state legislators who work together to influence federal policy and budget priorities.
“WiLL beautifully weaves together the threads of culture, budgets, politics, and communications that composed the US defense spending decisions. All against a background of gender and race.”
- Vermont State Representative Kimberly Jessup
"I am involved with WiLL because it is important that women state lawmakers have an impact on federal policy. Through WiLL/WAND, women state legislators have an opportunity to become even stronger by meeting, sharing ideas, and working to influence federal policy that impacts our states and constituencies.”
Former State Representative Deborah Berry (IA)
Together, we fight for
a healthy, just, and prosperous future
for all Americans.
We mobilize women legislators and activists to shift
national priorities to address the needs of women and working families at the state and local level.
Celebrating 30 years
Founded in 1991 by a group of legislators in Massachusetts concerned about the bloated defense budget after the Cold War, WiLL members have been steadfast in opposing expenditures in the federal budget that adversely affect the critical human needs in our states and communities.
